In the Montesinho natural park near Bragança (north of Portugal) there is a set of interest points for open air / nature lovers. Some are accessible by car, but others require long walks (or a suitable vehicle) to be properly appreciated.
That is the case of the si called Poço Negro (Black Well), also called “Poço de Pelgoa” in Soutelo. The spot isn’t marked (or at least it wasn’t when I visited it) and may not be easy to find without GPS / maps, and requires some walking if you don’t want to damage your vehicle in the dirt roads around it.
The easiest is to park in the area of Cova da Lua or Soutelo, and walk the route of about 5kms to the well. If you have a mountain bike, you can also do quite well on the way, having some very significant climbs on the way back.

Along the way, you pass abandoned state facilities and access to a shelter in case of flooding (apparently there are risks in the area). The Well is on the right side of the path, and it is necessary to look for where to pass. At the time I visited, there was no one else in the vicinity, so it was necessary to find out where to go.
Once you reach the watercourse, the landscape is idyllic.

without a doubt one of the spots in the Montesinho Natural Park that I enjoyed the most.
