Very close to Cabo da Roca you can find one of the most beautiful Portuguese beaches. The beach is not easy to access, and it is necessary to go down a trail of about a kilometer on a path in which appropriate footwear is convenient (although there are many who make the route in flip-flops or sports shoes). Despite this, it is relatively quick to get to the beach and enjoy the breathtaking view of the rocks and cliffs.
Leaving Cabo da Roca, access is via the first dirt road that appears on the left side. There is parking possible for some vehicles, but it is only possible to proceed on foot. The path goes over the cliffs towards the beach.

Shortly after starting the route it is possible to see the well-known rocks that characterize the beach. The landscape is very beautiful.

From this moment on, the trail becomes steeper and narrower, and care is needed to follow it. It is not necessary to have any type of special training, but it is advisable to be in a minimum physical shape thinking about the return route.

The route takes about half an hour, with some waiting at points where we come across other people going up or down. Upon arriving at the beach, typically with very few people, we can enjoy a truly stunning landscape.

The return climb can be demanding. Having some more time than it took us down there and bringing water for the route are two important details. Avoiding the hottest hours and not letting it get dark will also be advice to take into account.
